How we work
Technology in the background, people in the front
We are a data-driven organisation. Our systems and processes are cloud-based and streamlined, which lets us respond quickly to local authorities and spend less of our time on administration.
That matters because none of it is the point. The point is that a young person has somewhere safe to live, a support worker who knows them, and a plan for what comes next. The technology exists to make that happen faster and more reliably — nothing more.
Aims and objectives
Why young people are placed with us
Young people come to Total Care when it has been assessed that they need to develop independence skills and become increasingly self-reliant. The routes in vary.
Family and placement breakdown — including birth and stepfamilies, foster placements and other residential placements.
Young people with behavioural or emotional difficulties that make living within a family setting very difficult, or who choose not to at this time.
Young people who have experienced homelessness and are deemed in need of support.
Young people with refugee status who have come into the country unaccompanied and need a support system in place to become familiar with a new life in a new country.
Whatever the reason, every young person living with Total Care is unable to live full time with their family or independently. Our purpose is to provide a safe, warm, nurturing and empowering environment for them to live in — and to move on from, when they are ready.
